Shah Rukh Khan detention: Us introduces new security protocols for VIPs

Shahrukh Khan coming out from New York Airport after detentionFollowing uproar over Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s recent detention at the New York airport and similar incidents in the past, US Homeland Security Department comes with a news security protocols for vising Indian VIPs. The US officials on Tuesday informed the Indian Ministry of External Affairs about this new security protocol for visiting VIPs who were mistakenly detained at its airports.

As per the new security protocol, visiting VIPs could access certain numbers in the US Homeland Security Department and get released if any visiting VIPs mistakenly detained at airport, US officials informed the MEA (Ministry of External Affairs). Additionally such VIPs could also inform the US Homeland Security Department in advance about their arrival at US airport.

This move comes after India raised a huge uproar over the detention of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan at a New York airport for over two hours last week.
