Humayun Ahmed film fest begins at DU

Humayun AhmedA three-day film festival featuring Humayun Ahmed’s films will begin today at TSC auditorium in Dhaka University, said a press release. Dhaka University Film Society has organised ‘Cholocchitre Humayun Ahmed’ (Humayun Ahmed in cinema) where Humayun’s seven films will be screened.

Dhaka University vice-chancellor AA M S Arefin Siddique is expected to inaugurate the festival. Ahsan Habib, noted cartoonist and editor of Unmad, and AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuyian, chairman of television and film studies department of DU are also expected attend at the inauguration ceremony.

‘Aguner Parasmoni’, ‘Srabon Megher Din’, and ‘Amar Achhey Jol’ will be screened respectively at 10.00am, 1.00 pm, 4.00 pm and 6.30 pm on the opening day. On second day, ‘Noy Nombor Bipod Sonket’, ‘Amar Achhe Jol’, ‘Shyamol Chhaya’ and ‘Chandrokatha’.

‘Shyamal Chaya’, ‘Chandrokatha’, ‘Dui Duari’ and ‘Srabon Megher Din’ will be screened tomorrow.

The ticket price of the each show will be BDT 15 only.
